Looking for a nutrient dense sweet treat to serve to your little one?
Try this version of chocolate mousse, it's creamy, super chocolaty, packed with nutrients, and it's heart healthy. Serve it at a party and see if any kids can figure out the secret ingredient - avocado!
This desert is gluten free and can be prepared vegan and nut free
3 medium avocados
¾ cup cacao powder
¾ cup milk (can use soy milk or almond milk to accommodate allergy or dietary preference)
1 ½ tsp vanilla
¼ cup agave or maple syrup, can adjust to taste
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Chill and enjoy! Can top with almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts and add berries of your choice.
